Teramo coast

The Teramo coast connects for a very long stretch various seaside resorts known as the "Seven Sisters", a name born both from their correspondence and their connection, and from their similar characteristics such as golden beach and crystalline sea. These localities are: Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica, Tortoreto Lido, Giulianova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Pineto and Silvi Marina.

Connected to each other by the Green Adriatic Passageway, a cycle path that allows you to visit the coast in its entirety and to be able to admire the characteristic beauties of each city in an authentic way, the Seven Sisters are the place where most of the Abruzzo people decide to pass your summer holidays.

United by the beauty of the coast, each of them hides a small personal treasure. Tortoreto, known for its well-kept coastline and equipped with many services, houses the beautiful medieval village located in Tortoreto Alta, from which it is possible to admire the surrounding landscape and the coastal panorama.

Alba Adriatica, known as the Silver Beach for the silver reflections of the sand, is the city of entertainment and parties. The nerve center of the tourist activity of this area, Alba is full of bathing establishments, kiosks and chalets, but also of art and tradition such as the Torre di Alba Adriatica, dating back to the sixteenth century.

For nature lovers Giulianova and Roseto degli Abruzzi are two ideal places, as they are equipped with every comfort, but also rich in protected naturalistic sites. For example in Roseto, we find on the coast the Borsacchio Nature Reserve, a protected marine area, where very important plant and animal species are conserved, such as the Fratino, a beautiful example of bird that comes to nest right on these beaches in the summer. Roseto is also known as a place where plants are grown, including roses from which the name of the city is thought to derive: Rosburgo, meaning city of roses.

The sixth and seventh sisters are Pineto and Silvi Marina, the latter called the "Pearl of the Adriatic". Pineto is characterized by the presence of pine trees, which form the beautiful pine forest on the coast in contact with the sea, by very fine beaches and part of its success is also due to the presence of one of the most beautiful architectural structures in Abruzzo, the Cerrano Tower, a fortress built in the sixteenth century and kept in its maximum splendour. Silvi is characterized by the beautiful seafront and the hilly landscape of Silvi Alta and Atri. Its medieval village overlooks the sea and in summer it is colored by tourists and events, small bars and open shops that delight tourists with typical dishes and accompanying music.

The Seven Sisters represent a unique and unrepeatable coastal itinerary, thanks to their proximity and the Green Corridor, they are confirmed as the most coveted and desired destinations in Abruzzo.
