On the day dedicated to the patron saint of Controguerra, a solemn mass was celebrated and a large fair was organized in the village. In ancient times there was also a procession, but the elderly I interviewed recall that already in the 1940s it had become occasional. The statue of San Pasquale Baylon, in cherry wood, weighed a lot and at least ten men were needed to carry it, with complicated maneuvers and frequent replacements of the bearers.
