Pasquale (Carlino, Maria) Cataldi di Giuseppe e Veronica Valeri

He was born in Controguerra on 26 September 1891. On 28 October 1912 he enrolled in the Faculty of Law La Sapienza in Rome. In May 1915, he was enrolled in the 7th Alpini regiment as a simple soldier. He was repeatedly reported for his courage and in 1916 he was appointed second lieutenant of the 212th "Pescara" infantry regiment. In October 1916 he distinguished himself for heroic action at the front, where he obtained the Bronze Medal for Military Valor. Cultivate law studies in the breaks between fights. In July 1917 he was assigned to the Rombon sector and participated in the battles for the conquest of Mount Kukla, in which the "Pescara" regiment was decimated. He died in combat on July 15, 1917.
