Originally from Controguerra, he was born on February 2, 1893. He became a Franciscan friar on March 19, 1908. During the Great War, he stood out for the spiritual assistance he provided to soldiers, both Italian and Austrian, mortally wounded at the front. In 1936 he became pastor of the Capodimonte parish in Ancona. During the Second World War he brought religious comfort to the homes of the needy, regardless of the danger of bombing. A prominent figure of Franciscanism in the 20th century, he dedicated his life to the service of the poor and founded various charitable institutions. He disappeared on April 23, 1967.
