Among the rites of the Easter season we must remember the procession of Good Friday, or of the Dead Christ, in which the wooden simulacrum of the Savior and the effigy of Our Lady of Sorrows are carried on their shoulders. This procession is subdued and silent, and crosses the main streets of the village.
On the other hand, the living representation of the Via Crucis is a recent but very scenic and touching tradition. In fact, up until a few years ago, the Via Crucis was performed by counter-guerrilla devotees, guided for the occasion by Don Massimo Balloni, an expert set designer. For one night the characteristic streets of the village were transformed and as the procession passed, scenes were set up with actors, extras and extras, which silently reproduced the theme of the Stations. The devotional and emotional charge of the representation made it a religious event very attended by the counter-guerrese and not only, since faithful from neighboring countries also took part.
The Easter season is solemnized with religious functions that are held several times a day and with the important Easter mass, which, together with that of Christmas, manages to gather the whole community of faithful of the town.
