In the small church of Cona (Maria Santissima dell'Immacolata Concezione) a mass was celebrated in the first week of June, which was associated, after the religious function, with a small party. The ancient pastoral visits of the seventeenth century recall that the church was built for the devotion of the people and specify that mass was celebrated there «on the first Saturday of the month of June in commemoration of the construction». For this reason the Cona festival was respected and until the end of the twentieth century it was customary to celebrate it. On this occasion, as summer was approaching, popular games were also played, such as the race of women with bowls on their heads.
