The ghost of San Venanzio

Once a boy from Controguerra who had gone to San Benedetto del Tronto, while returning to the village by bicycle, near San Venanzio met a cyclist who was traveling along the same road, but on the other side of the road. The boy tried to exchange a few words with the mysterious man, but he didn't say a word. Finally the young man resigned himself, thinking he was a stranger or a strange type. Arriving at the crossroads at the entrance to Controguerra, near the Palazzo Scolastico, the mysterious cyclist turned to his traveling companion and said: «Today I saved your life!» After that it continued alone for a few meters and then dissolved into nothingness. The boy fell silent and convinced himself that he had met a ghost.
