According to a popular legend, on certain nights of the year, those who stopped in the Colle Fruscione cemetery could have encountered the ghost of a soldier, who some have said was the ghost of a customs officer. It did not appear suddenly, but climbed laboriously from the Piana del Tronto, passing through the cattle track north of the cemetery. The ghost soldier, fully dressed, carried a wooden box with him and, the legend continues, whoever managed to get him to open it would get the right numbers to win the lottery.
