The Museum of Rural Civilization of the Montori family is located in the family winery, in Piane Tronto, at no. 80.
The main theme of the collection, admirably collected by Camillo Montori, is wine, but it is not the only one, since the museum preserves numerous finds linked to other aspects and traditions of the peasant world. You can admire various historical pieces of the company, on which an imposing Swiss wooden press, dating back to the early twentieth century, stands out.
The museum preserves ancient vats, sulphite meters, fillers, decanting pumps and various containers for liquids. Among the many curiosities on display there is also a valuable collection of wine bottles, some dating back to the beginning of the last century. The oldest bottles, however, keep the cooked must and date back to the 19th century.
In the rooms where the collection unfolds you can admire a collection of walking sticks, interesting utensils from the kitchens of rural farms and a cycle dedicated to the processing of hemp. In the complex there is also a wing dedicated to the Montori family, where memorabilia and period photographs are exhibited.
